Labour relations and collective agreements can be steeped in tradition, but year after year of doing the same thing we get to a point where we have to ask ourselves, “Is there a better way?”
CP is moving into an age where it can better schedule service and deliver better results across the network. We are working productively with all of our union partners to achieve long-term, innovative and sustainable agreements that balance the needs of CP’s business with the needs of our employees.
CP has reached out to its unions that have agreements expiring at the end of 2017 to negotiate and implement new contracts ahead of expiration. CP recently announced new long-term agreements with 3 unions that have been negotiated and ratified so far 2017.
We are optimistic that we will be able to reach an agreement with the remaining unions prior to the expiration.
